That's right boys, girls, and other bipeds: The USDM Fiat 500 will start at $15,500. Apparently this model will be called the "Pop." The Sport will cost $2,000 more, and the "Lounge" (their words, not mine) will receive a top-billing price of $19,500. Of course this is all for standard equipment; the extras cost ... extra. Also, these are not for the turbo models. These 500s will come with the 1.4 MultiAir 16V engine.
Heck, go configure your own if you'd like.

The Pop is by no means stripped - a/c, power windows and locks, the full complement of exterior colors and a nice choice of interiors (red/black - sorry, "rosso/nero" - has my vote), and a sunroof option at about industry-standard cost ($850).
The Lounge's spec is hiding a dirty little secret; it's automatic-only.
Unless there's a real difference in the Sport's suspension tune, it looks like the Pop's the one to have; personally I'd go for the abovementioned sunroof and nothing else (I like the factory alloys but if $500 is also the parts-counter price paying cash fro them later on makes more sense).
Hm... I wonder if mostly women will buy this? Like with the New Beetle. I just get the impression that no matter how they market it, with the way it looks, it will mostly have women wanting it.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just the impression I get.
I'm a woman, but it doesn't do anything for me. It kinda looks bland actually. I'd rather get a Soul. :P
