MINI says its Coupe is headed for production

Remember the MINI Coupe from last week? MINI has confirmed that it is indeed headed for production. Of course, the image above is actually the Coupe Concept, which will appear at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month; the production version might look slightly toned down. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the polarizing roofline will remain the same.

Well it looks pretty cool. I'll be interested to see how well it actually does...

I'm not a fan of the roofline, personally. I'm not doubting it may be cool, but I just am not sure how appealing this vehicle will be to potential buyers. MINI already has the three-door liftback. Is this model really different enough?

I like the looks, but I'm not sold on this vehicle. I doubt it will be any faster than the Cooper and it looks to have significantly less storage/rear seat room. Plus, it's only a matter of time before I hear someone here call it a "Mini Coop".

This thing better come from the factory with at least 220hp or it needs to GTFO.
