Ford confirms two Fiesta colors

It's official: The 2011 Ford Fiesta will be available in "Bright Magenta," and "Lime Squeeze" colors, according to a Ford press release. Above is a the Lime Squeeze. Below is Bright Magenta. While visiting Ford in August, I heard a lot of people say they really liked the Lime Squeeze, and I know it's a hot color now. Several vehicles are available in a similar hue including the Scion xD and the Kia Soul, among others.

Hmm the lime....every car I see with that green hue from the fiesta to the cube to all the others, all kind of remind me of the exorcist or 70s avocado fridge, though coming from the orange guy probably doesn't mean too much. Oh and the fact that vintage is in this season.

I don't mind the green color, at least not now. Do you guys remember the teal color that was all the rage in the early 1990s? I wanted my mom to buy our '92 Mitsubishi Expo LRV in that color so badly, but alas, she bought light blue instead. However, looking back, that teal is a very dated color, and I wonder if this green will be the same way in 10 years?

And by the way, I didn't hear the Mazda2 was coming until you mentioned it SRodens! Thanks for the heads up (and now it is posted!). You guys rule!

Ah yes, Cash for Clunkers Teal :) Then there was that "plum" color at the same time- show me a rattle-can flat black '92-95 Civic coupe or Ford Flareside truck from that era, and I'd bet on it having plum doorjambs!

I wonder if that's why you see so many silver and gray cars now- people are playing it safe since the bolder colors they tried in the early/mid '90s dated so badly. Of course, the silvers, and light-to-slate blues peeled off the primer...
