Toyota to Debut Turbocharged 210 HP Yaris at Geneva
With Toyota entering the WRC, there have been rumors of homologation and the return of a hot-hatch Toyota. Well, here are the first pictures of that vehicle.
According to various online sources, the new high-performance Yaris will feature 210 hp from a 1.6-liter engine with tuning from (or at least derived from) GAZOO Racing in Japan. Other goodies will allegedly include a sport suspension, roof spoiler, and upgraded brakes and steering.
These photos, of course, show a three-door version, but we think a five-door would likely be available to do battle against the Ford Fiesta ST, at least on a global scale.
The new turbocharged Yaris will bow at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show in early March. Of course, there is not guarantee that this force-fed Yaris will be sold in North America, but here's hoping.
Stay tuned for more details.
