It's that time of year again in Portland, when many of the latest makes and models head to the Oregon Convention Center for the 2017 Portland International Auto Show, held January 26–29. While '17 isn't shaping up to be a highly anticipated small car year, there were some cool—and new—small cars on display.
It would be a crime not to show off the Alfa Romeo 4C's curves.
Chevrolet brought its new Cruze Hatchback, which we think looks fantastic. Great color, too.
Chevrolet refreshed its Sonic lineup for this year, and this happens to be the sporty RS trim level. Love the new front fascia.
The '17 Sonic also gets a revised rear fascia and new taillights, which look modern and attractive.
We love the Chevrolet Spark in the Mint color; it's subtle but classy.
Frankly, I didn't think Ford would already have its little 2018 EcoSport crossover at the show, but alas, here it is!
How could we not include the hot little Fiesta ST? Looks great in that dark gray.
The Union Jack convertible top looks perfect on this aqua-colored MINI Cooper Convertible.
Subaru is showing off its new-for-2017 Impreza, which is quite a departure from the last one.
Fiat brought its Sypder Abarth to the Auto Show this year, complete with turbocharged 1.4-liter engine.
We really like the front end treatment on the Spyder Abarth, and think it looks great in white.
The hot-selling Jeep Renegade really pops in red.
The new MX-5 Miata RF is dead sexy. And yes, that's a power top.
Really, from any angle the Miata RF is simply a stunner.
Here is a video of the Miata RF-'s top in action.
The Chevrolet Bolt might be the most important car at the entire show. This EV has a game-changing 238 mile range.
Although we love the roof racks on this Spark EV, it would significantly cut down on the range.
Toyota brought its C-HR prototype to Portland. The production version will likely look very similar to this.
