In the driveway: 2013 Scion FR-S

Scion,FR-S,review,in the driveway,sports car
The Scion FR-S (and it's twin the Subaru BRZ) are two of the most anticipated cars in a while, and they're selling like hotcakes, and after putting about 15 miles on the car this morning, I can already tell why.

Initial impressions are that this is a bona fide sports car. It rides stiffly, has beautifully weighted steering, very good brake feel, and a low seating position—plus it looks great. It is not super fast in a straight line, but so far it feels very balanced and has scads of grip when the road gets twisty. There is some wind noise here and the back seat is useless for anyone with legs longer than 12 inches long. But this is a sports car—the back seat is reserved for groceries, a to keep insurance down, and to convince significant others that you can put a child seat back there. Stay tuned.

Andy took me for a spin last night. A nice growl from the exhaust, low and lean, stiffly sprung. It's an old school sports car, nothing but fun.

I hate the interior it's so plane and looks so cheap. That's y I'm going for the genesis coupe
