Dunkin Donuts Yaris

Thanks to www.yarisworld.com member "jetster" for snapping these photos of a Dunkin' Donuts Yaris while in Cleavland, OH! I'm sure the ginormous iced coffee on the back probably subtracts a few MPGs from the 'ol 1.5 liter engine, but it sure neat. There's probably a cup holder joke here somewhere, too.

Hey--saw this Blog and thought maybe someone would be interested in some facts. I am a marketing manager at Dunkin' Brands and I manage a fleet of vehicles for Experiential Marketing and product sampling. I developed this Yaris concept and we have many across the country. We also have some pink ones with a hot coffee cup on the back.

Yes, I think the MPGs suffer a bit. My agency tells me we're averaging about 25 MPGs--which isn't bad considering those miles are usually with two people and tons of coffee!

In fact, when you factor in that most sampling vehicles are large vans or even the size of a bus (we have several) these little cars give us more options for small and mid-sized events and save us money, gas, and are better for the environment.

The gas gague is not re-calibrated and there's not much time between the idiot light and true empty. I actually ran out of gas on route 95, in the fast lane, just North of Boston. I had to tell a State Trooper dispatch to look out for an 8-foot-tall iced coffee cup.

John -- thanks so much for weighing in on this! Great bit of info, and awesome vehicle.

I had to chuckle about the State Trooper dispatch comment!

Wow! That's... well.. adorable! I'm not a coffee or a donut person but I love the look of this. People must definitely notice!

PS: Did you know Toyota has the 09 models up for the Yaris? That dude on Yaris Forums was right, no manual available on the 5-DR hatchback!

Ah, now I feel like the idiot! :P
