Nissan Versa Note from Detroit

2014 Nissan Versa Note
Photo by Nick Jaynes, DownForce Motoring
Our friend, Nick, over at DownForce Motoring is at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Being the swell dude he is, he shot a picture of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note for us, and this is what the U.S. will be getting. It almost looks like a Honda Fit at first glance. I find it clean, simple, and to the point.

In other parts of the world, the Note is powered by a 1.3-liter three cylinder engine in both normally aspirated and supercharged versions, the latter of which makes about 97 horsepower and 105 ft./lbs. of torque. No word on what the USDM will get. Looking forward to seeing how big this little guy is in person.

Looks a LOT like the fit. That's exactly what I thought before I even read the first line.

Heck, even the headlight/grille wrapover looks like the new CR-V. Change the badges and it could BE a conservative redesign of the Fit.
