First, we learned last week that the 2014 Ford Fiesta would get the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Now we get the green light on the Fiesta ST. This hot hatch will have 197 horsepower and 214 ft./lbs. of torque from its 1.6-liter EcoBoost four banger, which will be coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. On top of that, it'll get a projected 34 MPG on premium fuel. On top of that, as you can see, it'll have unique exterior bits, such as the grille and front fascia, as well as sideskirts and wheels. Ford calls out that the Fiesta ST has quite a bit more power than its domestic competitor, the Chevrolet Sonic, which has 138 horsepower and 148 ft./lbs. of torque. However, the MINI Cooper S was also called out, as it makes 181 horsepower and 177 ft./lbs. of twist. Look out competitors: The Fiesta ST is ready to start stealing your subcompact car's lunch money.
I think it looks great, and it should be another great choice among quick subcompacts.

I like this a lot.. though I'm curious about price, as that will determine how good this thing is. 200 turbo ponies in a car the size a shoe that still gets 35mpg sounds too good to be true!
This car sounds like it will be full of excellence & win. Before you know it, 200 HP in small cars like this once are going to be the new 109 HP standard. Finally! The grass is getting greener in the USA!
