In the driveway this week is the 2012 Toyota Prius c. Based on the Yaris chassis, this is the smallest and least expensive hybrid Toyota offers.
While I wouldn't call the Prius c a looker, it isn't bad; at least it's a bit different looking. The first time I saw the Tron-like interior at the Portland Auto Show, I wasn't very impressed. However, after spending a morning's commute in it, the insides are actually pretty cool. It's also more fun to drive than the larger Prius v (yes, I actually used fun in a Prius blog post), and quite a bit more agile due to its smaller size.
I'm only 20 miles into it so far, but my MPGs are right around 50. It's hard to argue that. I'm looking forward to spending some more time with this little gas sipper and seeing if it stays interesting and frugal. Stay tuned.
