Redbull Suzuki X-90: Some junk in on the trunk

You know you want it. I remember seeing a (the?) Redbull Suzuki X-90 while living in Milwaukee, WI. My buddy Scott and I would joke around about it. The only thing that could've made it better is if it shot something out of the giant can on its posterior, like cans of Redbull or t-shirts ... or small people or copious quantities of meatloaf and brown gravy. Never mind.

I always liked the X-90,even though it wasn't very practical and wasn't successful in pulling off the "I'm part SUV/part sporty coupe" routine that the 1st generation Toyota RAV4 also attempted but with more success. The X-90 isn't all that different from a Smart For Two in terms of size and passenger capacity.I thought it was much more interesting than a Chevrolet/Geo Metro and more attractive looking than the RAV4 or the two door Sidekick at the time.

When I first saw a Red Bull Mini "pickup" up close I was surprised to see they were built around the convertible with a fiberglass "cab" added rather than cut-down from a hatchback.

Thinking about it, that makes sense- they don't have to worry about reinforcing the body that way, and can reinstall the convertible top and back seat for resale, while I'm sure their legal dept. would insist on destroying cut-up hatchbacks when removed from service.

The X90 uses the same chassis and drivetrain as the Sidekick/Tracker. I lifted and modified an X90 for my sister, which she drove for years. Now my best friend owns it and he's continuing the 4x4 buildup.

We've always had a soft spot in our hearts for Suzukis, and the X90 is absolutely unique. It's super fun to drive and gets more stares and comments from random people than a Lamborghini does!

I actually drove the Red Bull Promo x-90 for a living! We always thought it would be better to shoot t-shirts or something out of the can, but no such luck on that idea. If you ever See on of the Promo cars on the street ask for a Red Bull, the backs of the cars/trucks are converted into ice chests to hold ice cold RED Bull. It is the employees job to hand it out - for FREE!!!

Don't know if the person who left the previous message will see this, but I have purchased two Red Bull X-90s (#8, and #59), and would love to have conversation with someone who actually drove them. I believe they were called Red Bull's Mobile Energy Team (MET). If you do get this message, please email me at brown526@bellsouth.net.
Thanks

I'll be damned any idea whom made the x90s what company was contracted to make them into X90 cans? I'm interested because I have one.

Has anyone converted one from a red bull car back into a regular vitara? I have a 2002 suzuki vitara that still has the truck coolers and I want to convert it into a trunk. Any thoughts?
