Here it is: the 2010 Ford Fiesta sedan
in stunning beige, which debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China today. Overall, I'd say it's pretty handsome, and it's certainly a forward design for Ford, especially since it's going to appear in the U.S. market. The U.S. will get this and the hatchback version (or so it's been said--keep your fingers crossed). The '10 Fiesta is the production version of the
Ford Verve.

It looks a little awkward around the rear wheelwells- with the body extended and the taillight shifted farther back, all of a sudden the sides look really slabby. OTOH it manages to avoid the bowler-hat-on-wheels look that so many small sedans have.
Functionally, carrying the rear glass so far back has a price- probably 80% of the length of the trunk is under the parcel shelf, but that'll only bother me if I rent one on vacation; if I'm buying I want a 5-door hatch. Please.
I think those are all very fair observations. I, too, want the five-door hatch.
