Photos From the 9th Annual Mt. St. Helens Cruise

The 9th Annual Mt. St. Helens Cruise, put on by Subcompact Culture and sponsored by Scion, happened last weekend, and it was great. We had 127 cars, more than 230 people, and great times.

We met at Riverdale Raceway in Toutle, WA and headed up the mountain to Johnston Ridge Observatory for perfectly clear views of the mountain. Th weather was 85 and sunny—perfect cruisin' weather.

Many new friends were made, lots of cool cars attended (both subcompact and not), and there was even a little 1/8 mile drag racing at Riverdale Raceway!

A big thanks to Scion, Riverdale Raceway, and all those who attended to make this yet another fantastic event.

Pics from 8th Annual Mt. St. Helens Cruise

The 8th Annual Mt. St. Helens Cruise was held on Saturday, June 14, and it was our biggest event yet. We had a little bit of everything this year—From Acura to Volkswagen and just about every make in between. There were hatchbacks, and coupes; sedans and wagons. We had lifted vehicles; we had lowered vehicles. We counted around 115 vehicles, and more than double that for people. Scion helped sponsor the event kicking in a healthy dose of food and swag, which was much appreciated.

2013 Mt. St. Helens Cruise Photos

The 7th Annual Mt. St. Helens Cruise, held Saturday, June 8, was a great success. We had about 61 vehicles with makes from Toyota, Scion, Ford, Porsche, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Audi, Dodge, and Lexus. Here are some photos we snapped during the cruise. A big thanks to Scion for sending tons of food and swag for the event! 

2011 Mt. St. Helens Cruise Photos

Here are 40+ photos from the 2011 Mt. St. Helens Cruise—the fifth year of the event. (Keep in mind, you can enlarge any of them by clicking.) The majority of vehicles were Scions and Toyotas, but we did have several Mazda RX-8s and RX-7s, as well as a 2011 Kia Optima Turbo that was, frankly, sexy as hell, especially on its black 20" wheels.

The weather was fantastic, and the food was plentiful at the BBQ afterward. We had nearly 40 cars and probably 80+ people. Scion corporate even showed up with several Five Axis custom vehicles, which were extra hot, as well as some great giveaways. Someone even went home with a radio-controlled Scion xB from HPI.
