The Jeep Renegade "Riptide" was located in the Mopar booth and featured roof racks, surfboards, black wheels and more. |
This Fiat 500 Abarth from the Mopar booth has a custom Abarth exhaust, two-tone paint, carbon-fiber bits, and a host of interior upgrades.
This was the only Hyundai Accent I saw at the show, but it had a clean look.
There were a few AE86 Corollas at the show, but this one really caught my eye.
This Audi TT has an aggressive yet sophisticated look. It rolls on Rotiform wheels wrapped in Toyo tires and is slammed on an Air Lift suspension.
As far as modified compact vehicles, it doesn't get more classic than a Meyers Manx. This purple buggy was in the EMPI booth and looked great for cruising the boulevard!
We like the latest iteration of Volkswagen's Beetle, but this version in the ENEOS booth look extremely mean—and in a very good way. Wide body, RWD, and a black and orange paint theme made this one bad bug.
The SDX Audio Ford Fiesta ST had that classic Ford strop ala Shelby Mustang, but had all the trimmings of a modern pocket rocket.
It's no doubt this Ford Focus ST would provide hot pursuit to any speeders! Love the bull bar on the front and the black-and-white theme.
There were lots of Scion FR-S models at the 2014 SEMA Show including this olive drab #30 racing version. A great looking race vehicle.
Mazda showcased a racing version of its 2016 MX-5 Miata. It's got great lines and looks totally at home in racing livery.
Ever since the Scion xB debuted it's been a darling of the SEMA Show. And even after more than 10 years after its debut, they're still appearing at the show, and this one looks great.
If this doesn't look fun to you, you're likely not human. This is the all-new Polaris Slingshot. It's powered by a 2.4-liter GM-sourced ECOTEC engine making 173 horsepower and 166 ft/lbs of torque. Oh, and it only weighs 1,743 lbs! Power is put to the rear wheel via belt, and all that giddyup is put through a five-speed manual trans. Sign me up!
This may have been one of my favorite cars at the show. This #86 Scion FR-S is done in a retro Toyota racing theme. So clean; so perfect. It was located in the Scion booth.
Despite being long in the tooth, Scion killed it this year with this wonderfully tacky retro xB. Side pipes, shag carpet, BFGoodrich tires, Cragars, and Back-Off Yosemite Sam mudflaps all add to this amazingly done retro xB. Oh, the porthole window really makes it!
Here's a Smart ForTwo that looks like its ready to take on the touring car circuit!
This is one of two custom Jeep Renegades found in the Mobar booth. This snow sports-themed "Frostbite" version had pearl white paint with blue inserts. The theme was also carried through to the interior.
This is the all new Honda Fit in factory racing form. We'll have a post featuring all of the Honda Fits from the 2014 SEMA Show soon. FYI, the Fit was named "Hottest Sport Compact" at the show.
