In The Driveway: 2014 Mazda6

I got a last-minute e-mail yesterday asking if I was at all interested in reviewing the Mazda6, even though it isn't in the subcompact segment. Hey, why not? After all, we do a segment called "A Bit Bigger" every now and then, so the Mazda6 will fit that bill.

As I write this, I have not driven it yet. I have, however, admired its amazing shape. It is my favorite looking sedan on the U.S. market at the moment. Few four doors come close. It's sexy, tough, modern, and stylish. I love the front end. I also got inside briefly, and initial impressions suggest a very high-quality, sporty interior.

It is powered by the SKYACTIV G 2.5 liter engine making 184 ponies and is mated to the six-speed automatic transmission. I am looking forward to seeing if this gorgeous sedan drives as well as it looks. Stay tuned.
