The Teal Terror in the Columbia River Gorge

Photobucket

I was on a photo shoot for my day job in a spectacular location on private land in the Columbia River Gorge on Tuesday. We got to see some amazing views. The wind was crazy high, but the light was awesome. Here are a couple quick pics of the Teal Terror overlooking the gorge. Getting up here required four-wheel drive and at least as much ground clearance as the Sidekick had. There was a section of rocks that was a bit tricky for the rig; I kept hitting the front A-arm on one of the rocks. A spotter was able to help me navigate my little truck through, though. (Note: bigger tires next time around!)

If you've never been to the Columbia River Gorge, it's an amazingly place. The photo below is around Biggs, Oregon overlooking Interstate 5 looking to the east. There's a lot of wind farms out there, too. On a nice day, this is one of my favorite places in the world. Directly across from me, on the Washington side, is Maryhill Winery. Washington Highway 97 starts right around those windmills.

Very cool! I'm glad you were able to put the Teal Terror to good use. It's an awesome little 4x4!
