This week's tester is the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo. With a gusty 200 hp turbocharged engine, slick-shifting DSG dual clutch transmission, and amazing Fender stereo system. The seats in the Beetle are world-class, too—fantastic.
A quick spin around the block yields great handling from the fully independent suspension and plenty of power. I think this latest Beetle looks more masculine than the old New Beetle (wait ... old New Beetle?), and the overall interior is great. Huge power sunroof, too! It ain't cheep, though: This guy comes in near $30,000.
More on this silver bug soon. Stay tuned.

Wow! $30k???
Is this a VW with a Mercedes-Benz badge?
I like the lines of the new new Beetle. It simlultaneously looks more like the vintage Beetle and the Porsches of that era.

Yes, it's a pricey thing. Keep in mind, it's essentially a GTI with a Beetle body. There are some other changes, but still.
