For those that need their Prius "a bit bigger," Toyota now offers the Prius V. This super-sized Prius does offer quite a bit of space and storage while still offering 44 city and 40 highway MPG (compared to 51/48 for the regular Prius).
This is the first time I've spent any time in a Prius, and there's a lot to look at inside. Various readouts, some clever switch gear, and a myriad of modes to select. In the 20 miles I've driven it so far, I'm getting 41 MPG. The outside isn't offensive to look at. I have the urge to throw on some 17- or 18-inch wheels for some reason.
The driving experience is pretty bland thus far. I've found myself simply trying to keep the mileage up by looking at all of the gauges that tell me if I'm in eco mode or not. It isn't particularly fun or exciting to drive, however. More later; stay tuned.

Most people with any car-guy-ness to them would probably opt for a diesel Jetta wagon instead.
