So what's the big news for March 2011 sales? Kia Soul ... again. Yes, the Kia Soul continues its ascent to the top of the small car sales heap. However, also of note, the newcomer: The Ford Fiesta is third in overall sales thus far. The Mazda2 also had a sales spike during March, selling 2,500 units. Also note the addition of the Fiat 500 to the list, which sold (semi ironically) 500 units.
The big loser again this month: the Toyota Yaris, down nearly 50% overall, and 42.1% from this time last year. The Nissan Versa, however, continues to sell the most overall units despite having 19.8% fewer sales in March '11.

I've seen a lot of Kia Souls around my area lately. It was weird too because the Soul has been on sale in this area for a while and I only saw maybe one or two around. And then, BAM!, it's like I'm seeing them every where now. There are so many of them it actually made me wonder how the Soul's sales were doing--if they had gone up or if it was just an isolated thing in my area. Guess it isn't!
It's nice to see the Honda Fit doing better in sales too. :D
I just saw my first Kia Soul in person on Monday. It was parked in front of my neighbors. Didn't really pay attention yesterday when I got home so I'm not sure if they own it or if they had friends over.
It didn't look too bad.
I think it looks pretty nifty in person. It's design is just different enough that it stands out from other subcompacts while not being polarizing like the Cube.
