Performance clutch + wet roads = wheelspin
I know this sounds like an obvious statement, but it's something I hadn't really noticed until lately. I have the TRD performance clutch in my 2007 Yaris (I had it installed in January, 2010). Now that the rain is falling here in Portland, the rapid, more aggressive clutch engagement leads to much more wheelspin on the wet pavement. I really didn't drive my car a whole lot during the winter last year, since I was working out of my house, so maybe that's why I hadn't noticed it until recently. I'll need to modulate the clutch more, or else new tires will be in the much nearer future.
