I've always enjoyed washing, waxing, and detailing my cars. One of the more helpful products I've come across in recent memory are those ubiquitous yellow microfiber cloths from Costco. Sold in packs of
4,000 36, these cloths are great for a variety of auto-related tasks. I use them for nearly everything from waxing the paint and cleaning my wheels, to wiping down the interior and detailing the engine bay. They're washable, soft, and about $15.

I have a few that were Shell station freebies. They're the only thing that'll get the Yaris dashboard un-dusty.
Yeah, they're great for that. The only thing to watch out for with the microfiber cloths is that they can pick up debris very easily. For instance, if I mistakenly drop one on the driveway, they pick up very fine pieces of bark mulch, leaf pieces, and such. And even after washing, sometimes those little debris pieces don't come off.
Yeah, I love them, but as you stated, they will pick up everything, I have thrown out sveral that ended up on the floor where I had been doing some woodwork, they were filled with wood slivers. Now I'm more carefulk where they are thrown, lol.
I got a ton of microfiber cloths from Griot's Garage about 3 years ago, I use them for pretty much everything as well.
Andy, you are absolutely right about the issue when you drop them. They will pick up ANYTHING, especially mulch or grit. That is something you really don't want touching your paint...
