VIDEO: Driving the 2011 Ford Fiesta

As you may have read, I reviewed the 2011 Ford Fiesta about a week ago. During that drive, the Fiesta Agents took some video of me piloting the Fiesta (yep, that's me driving. I'll sign autographs later). Anyway, check out the video.

Thanks again to Fiesta Movement Agents Brad and Emma for coming up to Castle Rock, WA to let me drive the car.

The fact that all of the Fiesta Movement cars I've seen pics of are manual is an interesting choice on Ford's part. It seems to show they get that some people who want small cars, are into cars and actually WANT small cars.

There's a sort of proto-configurator on the Ford website where after you go through hatch/sedan, color, and manual/auto you are asked whick 3 of 8 options you'd most like to see. One of them is "performance tuned suspension" :)

Yes, I heard about this configurator. Someone said "turbo kit" was there, too. Wow--that'd be fun!

Hoo boy, I'm all excited about this car, but the Cash-for-Clunkers money that just passed the House won't be available when this thing finally comes to the US, which may impact my personal buying decision. Do you have any idea when this thing is going to go on sale here? I've heard June of '10 but that seems way too far off in the future.

Jake, that's what I've heard, too.

I really liked the car when we saw it at the St Helens cruise and would definitly look into one if I was shopping for a new car when they come available.
