And although the Fiesta should've been here a couple of years ago, it's here now, and it's good.

There will likely be a new Yaris in 2011 or 2012. However, I doubt that it will be that much better than the Fiesta if at all. (I tend to think Toyota's interiors are a bit plasticy and they aren't the most inspiring from the factory.) The Fit was redesigned for 2009, so it should have a similar bodystyle until 2013-ish.

I still maintain the Fiesta will be a class leader for quite some time. The cars I drove were indeed that good.Andy Lilienthalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08962844660116593646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-3330152514456018972010-04-27T13:48:22.070-07:002010-04-27T13:48:22.070-07:00Believe it or not the 138 HP New Aveo with its mid...Believe it or not the 138 HP New Aveo with its mid to upper 40s MPG, will be the best small product America has to offer on what really matters to buyers.

You patriotic small car buyers who bought a Fiesta are going to really hit yourselves when that Aveo comes out.

I still see many takers of this Fiesta, but the hype surrounding it is unfair to the others. They make it seem like its going to be the best small car ever, yet its going to be the best small car for like 2 days....just exagerating but you get my drift.AccentPlanetDotOrghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04061771259792735903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-6350327643493530222010-04-27T13:43:09.717-07:002010-04-27T13:43:09.717-07:00Considering all of Ford's talk about better th...Considering all of Ford's talk about better this and that over Honda and Toyota lately they wanted to really see.

I dont think its was fair for Fiesta to test against car that will be replaced within months.

In 6-12 months from now I could see Fiesta VS the others, but pretty much all of the testing now is pretty unfair.

Its false advertising to market a car with best in class figures, when the class you're speaking of will be new and vastly improved with figures besting this "Best in Class" vehicle within months.

Soon Fiesta will be 3rd 4th or 5th best in class, if that. Hey dont get mad at me, Ford should have brought this over 2 years ago like I thought they were going to do.

This car is like the Cruze a great car for the time, but the company is going to blow it with a late arrival.AccentPlanetDotOrghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04061771259792735903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-65360374583742650492010-04-26T20:57:40.649-07:002010-04-26T20:57:40.649-07:00I agree with you on the dual clutch gearbox.

I think they probably wanted to pit the Fords against Honda and Toyota, specifically.Andy Lilienthalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08962844660116593646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-17053733864816449392010-04-26T19:16:29.182-07:002010-04-26T19:16:29.182-07:00True but I think a double clutch transmission has ...True but I think a double clutch transmission has the edge over a conventional auto and a CVT. Seems a bit unfair, no?

Looks like ford had a winner here. Too bad the hatchback is 3800$ more than the sedan in Canada.burnitwithfirenoreply@blogger.com
