I'm a muscle car guy been one since a kid growing up in the 60s and with a daily commute of 37 miles to work one way decided to drive the little fella for awhile and the first week I was hating it only because of the lack of power the comfort was good, stereo sound excellent handling not bad and then I bought a k&n filter which changed the power to not rocket status but piss off of the joe racer guy status that little sucker right now is taking no prisoners at stop lights oh yea they catch me but man do they get caught sleeping and using big fuel to do so ! I'm a big fan of the car now!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-18409252749791388642012-09-30T19:58:11.451-07:002012-09-30T19:58:11.451-07:00Unfortunately, I only have the car for a week, but...Unfortunately, I only have the car for a week, but I try to learn as much about the vehicle as possible. Learning how the A/C is powered wasn't exactly high on my priority list, though. I didn't know that about the A/C, however, and I appreciate the insight. You learn something new every day!Andy Lilienthalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08962844660116593646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4158601016174103420.post-38495112152873580652012-09-29T22:39:33.131-07:002012-09-29T22:39:33.131-07:00I have to say for a reviewer of this car you sure ...I have to say for a reviewer of this car you sure don't know much about it. The A/C is electrically driven off of the battery, not like in normally aspirated cars by the engine. Mine runs for 15 mins with the engine off keeping me cool, till the battery needs recharging, or it did back in July 37 Plus Degrees C outside.

Your thoughts on what made your car slower on hills could be your over expectation of what and whom the car is for. Hyper milers aside, letting the car lose a few mph on upsides of hills to regenerate or regain those mph on the down side is a normal fact of life for the aptly named city car.

I live in Toronto Canada and can tell you it is not such a big deal to lose a few mph(km/h) on hills most motorist do it anyway, unless they use cruise, which is not conducive to gas milage on hilly terrain anyway. It does look pretty nice. I also drove an Insight recently, it was a bit noisy and unrefined as all the reviews say. The C may not be Toyota's hybrid crown jewel but with more refinement and higher MPG than the Insight I think they just ate Honda's lunch again.Ducati Scottyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16001755380772637359noreply@blogger.com
